What’s on offer:
You’ll be joining a close-knit back-office team, where your work plays a key role in keeping projects running smoothly. This is a hands-on role focused on financial accuracy, compliance, and streamlined reporting.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Processing transactions and reconciliations in Xero
- Preparing invoices, financial statements, and GST returns
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and job cost tracking
- Assisting with audit prep and compliance documentation
- Coordinating financial workflows across departments
- Managing and reviewing financial transaction records using both physical ledgers and computerized accounting systems.
What we’re looking for:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- 3+ years’ bookkeeping or similar financial admin experience
- Strong skills in Xero and Excel
- Solid understanding of NZ accounting practices and GST
- A sharp eye for detail and strong organisational skills
- Experience working with project or contract financials (ideal)
- Confidence managing financial information confidentially
- Ability to communicate clearly with finance and operations teams
You’ll also need to have:
- Strong time management and process accuracy
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
- Eligibility to work in NZ
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Reliable Transport
- Two work references
