About the Role – Mō te tūranga
This permanent Accounts Payable Specialist role is not just a processing role. It's a senior position with a strong focus on analysis and accuracy — you’ll be diving deep into data from an automated AP system to forecast payments, run monthly reports, partner with internal stakeholders, and ensure liability accuracy in the accounts.
You’ll sit in a friendly transactional team alongside one other Senior AP professional and four Credit Controllers, and report to a leader who values initiative and teamwork. This role is an onsite position 5 days per week with flexibility around core hours between 7.30 and 5.30. You’ll be working on ERP systems, with regular use of Excel (pivot tables and v look ups are a must). You will also have the opportunity to learn Power BI.

You’re not someone who says, “That’s not my job.” You’re a team-first, sleeves-rolled-up kind of person who sees where help is needed and jumps in. You’ve got solid, end-to-end AP experience — ideally in a reasonably high-volume environment — and if you’ve worked in logistics or transport, even better.
You’re analytical and tech-savvy, with proven skill in payment forecasting and an ability to pull insights from data. You communicate clearly and confidently, and you’re comfortable engaging with both suppliers and the procurement team. Above all, you bring a customer-focused mindset and a helpful, can-do attitude.
To succeed and earn credibility from day one, you’ll need:
• Solid, full-function AP experience
• Proficiency with Excel, especially pivot tables
• The ability to forecast payments and analyse AP data
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
