About the role

The Administration Officer will effectively contribute to the smooth running of the Southern Blood Cancer Service by providing an efficient and timely administrative support function that is responsive and flexible to the changing needs of the service.

This role will:

  • provide timely and accurate confidential administrative support
  • set up and maintain effective electronic and paper filing systems and procedures relevant to the service, enabling quick access to information
  • provide excellent customer service skills, by listening and interacting with patients and family in a courteous, polite and responsive manner.

About you

As an experienced administrator you'll be comfortable working on different things, often juggling several at once.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of two years clerical administrative experience
  • Strong knowledge of office systems and procedures
  • Excellent computer skill including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
  • The ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive and professional manner
