Mō te tūnga | About the role
You will be an integral part of our dedicated Administration team providing a range of high-quality administrative services to internal and external customers.
The team delivers a wide range of administrative services from, telephone support, checking of incoming and outgoing prisoner mail, attending, and taking meeting minutes, information management and filing, data entry, and general administration office support.
Specific tasks related to this role within the Parole Board space include, but are not limited to:
- Feilding remand legal queries
- Bookings for phone calls and legal visits
- Processing and organising of paperwork
- Liaising with lawyers in a professional manner to ensure timeframes are met
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
Ideally you will have the following skills and experience;
- Knowledge of administrative systems, processes and technology combined with experience in providing administrative support to a team.
- Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- A personable yet professional communication style – both verbal and written
- Good attention to detail
- The ability to multitask, organise effectively and display common sense.
- Able to work autonomously and in a team environment, with the ability to develop, foster and maintain positive working relationships within a diverse environment of different cultures, religion and gender identities.
- You will possess very high levels of integrity and be able to work in an environment where maintaining privacy is paramount.
- Have an understanding of tikanga Maori and can adapt to working in this space to align with the Departments Hokai Rangi Strategy
- A current and full clean New Zealand driver licence
Please ensure you also refer to the Job Description for more details about this role and note that individual Administrator Support Officer roles may be required to undertake some, or all of the duties noted according to operational requirements. This can be varied within the overall Administration Support structure.
Utu ā-tau | Salary
The salary range for this role is $62,217-$65,934 per annun. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
