- 0.6FTE (24 hours per week) Permanent position for a NZ Registered Dietitian with a current APC
- Role is Based at Christchurch Health Campus
- Hours of work are Monday - Friday, between 8am - 4:30pm, days to be negotiated

About the role
Nutrition and Dietetics are seeking an Advanced Dietitian to be a part of the Paediatric Diabetes Team on the Christchurch Health Campus.
This is an exciting opportunity to bring your advanced knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective assessment and intervention to children and whānau living with diabetes.
In this role you will:
- Manage a clinical case load of children across the inpatient and outpatient settings
- Work in collaboration with the Paediatric Diabetes Multi-Disciplinary Team
- Provide professional leadership and supervision of clinical activity and practice across all aspects of Paediatric Diabetes
- Undertake service and policy development and quality improvement activities as part of the role including audits, research and projects
- Lead and support professional development, skill sharing and positive practice
About You
We are seeking an experienced Dietitian to join our team in this Advanced Practitioner role. To be successful you will demonstrate the following skills:
- A drive to ensure the best health outcomes for children and their whānau living with diabetes
- The ability to work within a team and contribute to the provision of quality care within the service
- Self-motivated, organised and enjoy a challenge
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and nurture relationships with patients and other people within the service
- Minimum 5 years of clinical practice with at least 3 of those years of clinical work experience within Paediatric or Diabetes, with experience in both advantageous
- Confident with diabetes technologies, such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring systems
- Experience with clinical teaching/supervision, training and development of staff
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Demonstrated decision making particularly in complex situations
- Experience in people leadership and/or management
