This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.
The remuneration range for this role is $75,495 to $106,581 (including KiwiSaver), we ideally would be looking to recruit between $75,495 to $88,818 depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
With an increased interest in the Water sector you will support and advise on the management of requests for information under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA). You will be supporting the continued transparency of the work we do for our client Councils and community.
You will get to:
- Be responsible for the overseeing of receiving, responding and transferring of LGOIMA requests
- Manage BAU LGOIMA requests
- Conduct peer reviews for complex LOGIMA cases
- Support a review of the process to ensure it is fit-for-purpose and implement any changes
- Provide advice and guidance to business groups on official information requests and ombudsman complaint processes.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualification desirable
- Knowledge of and experience working with local government processes and practices, including a familiarity with and ability to interpret relevant legislation
- The ability to manage processes around statutory compliance
- A strong attention to detail, ability to prioritise workloads, work under pressure and to tight timeframes.
- Good relationship management skills.
