 Ko tōu ake mahi - What you'll do

Join our team as an Advisor/Senior Advisor (GMP Audit) and play a critical role in protecting public health. You'll lead audits of medicine manufacturers, provide expert advice on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and help shape decisions that impact therapeutic product safety across Aotearoa and beyond. This is a unique opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a role that combines autonomy, collaboration, and purpose

  • Lead and conduct GMP audits of medicine manufacturing and packing sites, both in Aotearoa and occasionally overseas.
  • Present audit findings to site management and assess corrective actions for compliance.
  • Advise on GMP certification and licensing decisions for local and overseas manufacturers.
  • Provide technical guidance to industry, the Ministry, and other government agencies.
  • Support recalls and contribute to continuous improvement, projects, and policy development.

Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What you'll bring

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field, for example a pharmacy qualification, or a science or engineering-based qualification.
  • Hold a full New Zealand driver's license and be comfortable driving in different areas of New Zealand
  • Strong knowledge in medicines manufacture i.e. at least two years' experience in GMP manufacturing
  • Experience and knowledge in pharmaceutical quality systems, typically this means at least two years' experience in using, working within or managing quality systems.
  • Experience in being involved in GMP audits (either internal or external), preferably leading these.
