Preferred Requirements:

• Proficiency in arboriculture, with a deep understanding of tree care and maintenance
• Ability to safely operate specialized equipment and machinery
• Strong problem-solving skills to address a variety of environmental challenges
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
• Commitment to sustainable practices and environmental stewardship
• Rope Climbing in Trees   
• In use Cherry Pickers   
• Pruning and Tree Felling for Big Trees and Hedges   
• Working Around Powerlines 
• Drive Class 1 Vehicle 
• Some Heavy Lifting Is Necessary   
• General Duties As Required  
• Driving Vehicles  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications or training in arboriculture or a related field
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the agriculture and environment sector
• Passion for the outdoors and a desire to contribute to the well-being of our local ecosystem

The successful candidate must have a valid Class 1 driver’s license with Working at Heights and NZQA arborist qualification at level 3/4. Must pass a pre-employment drug test or MOJ check if required. Prior experience in arboriculture is an advantage. Open to NZ Citizens / Residents only.
