About the Role
This role has been vacant for some time resulting in significant gaps in learning for staff it is important to recruit. The Allied Health educator is responsible for the coordination and facilitation of professional development activities for the Allied Health, Scientific and Technical (AHST) workforce at Te Whatu Ora Tairawhiti, as aligned to the strategic direction of the organisation. Allied Health Educator position will play an integral role in the organisation. This role will provide support to Allied Health leads with training and orientation for new staff.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Reports to the Director of Allied Heath, Scientific and Technical and will be part of a wider Allied Health team providing support and expertise to staff and Allied Health leads.

About you
- Registered Allied Health, Scientific or Technical practitioner, or member of professional body if registration not applicable.
- Where applicable, holds current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
- Minimum of 5+ years clinical experience
Has led/delivered professional development activities in a healthcare environment- Audit and evaluation skills, online teaching and learning expertise.
- Uses clear and effective communication to build and maintain strong relationships
