Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced and personable Applications Architect to join their growing team. If you have a passion for designing and delivering robust, scalable solutions across software, systems, and applications, this is your opportunity to play a critical role in shaping the technology landscape for this critical Government organisation. 

The Applications Architect is responsible for defining and documenting high-level solution designs, managing application technology architecture, and ensuring seamless systems integration.

Day to day you will:

  • Design and implement complex technology solutions that meet the organisations requirements 
  • Specify and design large or complex software applications, components, and modules.
  • Conduct impact analysis on major software design options, making informed recommendations and managing associated risks.
  • Analyse System designs, making well-informed recommendations and decisions that mitigate risks.
  • Ensure appropriate tools and techniques are consistently applied, leading to efficient and high-quality system development.
  • Implement automation for the deployment and operations of technology solutions
  • Work with clients and stakeholders throughout the organisation to identify opportunities to leverage cloud technology to drive business solutions
  • Keep up with latest industry trends and contribute to thought leadership on trending topics that are relevant to our clients

Qualifications & Experience:
  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant frameworks and best practices in software development.
  • Extensive experience in systems integration, application architecture and design.
  • Proficiency in solution architecture, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate technical challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, capable of interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
