The Role: The Assurance Consultant works with and through agencies, providing practical advice, assistance, and support to implement the strategy for a digital public service and deliver system-wide ICT assurance. Operating as part of a small team, consultants act as 'change agents' for agencies, driving change and capability improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide business-oriented and pragmatic risk and assurance advice to senior business leaders in diverse organisations.
  • Manage difficult and highly variable stakeholder relationships and expectations.
  • Influence stakeholders to ensure the needs and demands of customers are balanced against outcomes sought by the Government.
  • Communicate digital and ICT assurance risks effectively to senior decision-makers in government.
