Job Description

H2R Consulting are Partnering with a client we know well to locate a new Broker Support Officer to join their Lower Hutt based team. This is a permanent role within a fun family orientated team and organisation.

We are open to seeing both established and qualified (Financial Services Level 5) level candidates, and also Finance graduates who are looking to get their teeth into a new role and commit to a career in this industry.

Basics:

  • Pay $60,000 – $85,000 (heavily dependant on experience and track record)
  • Flexibility / WFH: 1-2 days from home once comfortable in the role
  • Office location: Lower Hutt City

The role includes:

Administration and support and basic advice for commercial and domestic clients. Including but not limited to renewals, endorsements, queries on cover, account queries and occasionally claims:

  • Assist Advisers as required.
  • Resolve client queries on their insurance (account queries; cover queries; policy amendments etc) ensuring an effective resolution
  • Investigate client requirements to ascertain whether the policy is the right one for the client.
  • Set fee level within approved discretionary guidelines
  • Check the correct type of cover and level of cover for the client and amend as appropriate
  • Efficient and accurate processing of Insurance renewals, endorsements, and cancellations
  • Liaise with insurers on insurance matters, i.e. renewals, new business, re-marketing etc.
  • Re-market policies at renewal as required.
  • Process finance agreements for policies that are paid monthly
  • Plan workload to factor in key renewal times and peak periods
  • Consistent review of processes in conjunction with management to optimise efficiency

This position can make for a great pathway to become an Insurance Broker / Adviser. It also can be a chance for someone to utlise and grow their already very good support skills and experience. Pay will reflect this.
