Role type: Permanent full-time

Salary band & range: General Salary Range

Business Analyst: F $76,463 to $89,215 depending on skills and experience

Senior Business Analyst: D/E $87,008 to $118,005 depending on skills and experience

 

About the Role - Kōrero mō te Tūranga

We are looking for a high performing Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst to work within the Design & Implementation team in Biosecurity New Zealand.

You will be driving positive change, working through continuous improvement activities and processes,  planning and supporting quality delivery of outputs and outcomes.

Your role will include:

  • Creating new services and workplace tools for operational efficiency and measurement.
  • Developing the frameworks and tools for business analysis of Biosecurity New Zealand processes, programmes, and projects.
  • Driving insights through analysis and optimising workflows with process mapping.
  • Working alongside business teams to guide and support the implementation of changes.
  • Contributing to initiatives which uplift the overall capacity and capability to deliver projects. This may include providing training or additional support to staff.

 

About You - Mōu

We are looking for someone who can combine their skills and experience in business analysis disciplines and methodologies with excellent inter-personal and communication skills.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • The ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and detail, while maintaining an understanding of the bigger picture. You will be able to assimilate complex information and explain it clearly to others.
  • Proven experience planning and facilitating meetings and workshops.
  • The ability to communicate effectively across all organisational levels, and with external vendors, stakeholders, and customers.
  • An understanding of the public sector and the machinery of government.

About the Team - Mō tō mātou Rōpū

The Design & Implementation team brings together the disciplines of operational policy and service design to support the implementation of operational delivery changes across Biosecurity NZ.

The team is important for ensuring the Biosecurity NZ operating models are successful by working with the subject matter experts in the business to design and develop new processes and ways of working.
