Our Auckland-based client is looking for a motivated and commercially savvy Business Development Manager to focus on generating new business opportunities.

This is a new business development role with a strong emphasis on identifying and securing new client relationships. The consultancy offers expert services in analytics and data solutions, and experience in this industry would be a real advantage — especially if you're familiar with how to communicate complex solutions to a senior audience.

What you’ll be doing:
- Sourcing and developing new business across a B2B client base
- Managing the full sales cycle — from lead generation to closing
- Building strong relationships with management and C-level decision-makers
- Preparing compelling, tailored proposals and costings for service-based solutions
- Attending relevant networking events, conferences, and client meetings
- At least 5 years of experience in B2B services sales
- A background in selling professional services or software
- Experience in the data solutions industry is highly advantageous
- A proven ability to navigate complex sales processes and enterprise clients
- A proactive, self-starter who enjoys working independently and as part of a team
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence engaging with decision-makers
