We are looking for a highly organised, customer focused Business Support Assistant to work closely with our suppliers to provide excellent building and facilities services to ensure our people have a great place to work. This is a permanent position based in our Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office.
This is an entry-level role that would suit someone looking to gain administration experience in an office environment.
Mō te tūranga | About the role
As the friendly face of the Facilities team in our Wellington Office, you'll expertly coordinate and deliver a fantastic service to ensure the office is running smoothly. You will provide administrative support to the team and the wider Organisation Performance and Enablement branch, as well as have the opportunity to assist and/or lead on specific tasks for Business Support and Facilities projects. You'll be reporting to a supportive and knowledgeable Facilities Manager and be a valued member of the small but mighty Facilities team.
Your day-to-day responsibilities would include:
- Liaising with the landlord and contractors to coordinate maintenance and repairs
- Resolving issues raised by staff in the service portal in a timely manner
- Keeping supplies topped up and ordering stock as required
- Issuing and monitoring staff access cards
- Collecting and distributing mail
This role would suit someone who is looking for autonomy to complete your responsibilities, customise your workflow and improve processes. The indicative salary range for this role is $59,652 to $67,751 plus 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects their individual skills, experience, and internal relativities across the organisation.

We are looking for a person who loves to be on the go, has excellent customer service skills and the ability to deal professionally with a wide range of people (both internal and external stakeholders).

- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload

- Ability to use your initiative and make sound decisions
