About your team / Ko te tīma

The Business Support team is part of WorkSafe's Corporate group, providing a centralised administration support function across WorkSafe. The overall team is led by two Team Leaders leading the fifteen Business Support Coordinators who work collaboratively across the motu.

 

About the role / Ō te tūranga

As a Business Support Coordinator, you will support and contribute to the efficient management of Mahi Haumaru's administrative and coordination process, systems and activity. You will be supporting a range of managers and kaimahi with different administrative tasks.

The role requires someone with sharp focus who can provide vital support to WorkSafe managers and teams across a range of core business tasks—from finance processes and system admin to travel coordination and event support.

You'll thrive in this role if you appreciate dependable routines and find satisfaction in keeping operations running smoothly through reliable, detail-focused work. The ideal candidate is adaptable, ready to pivot between responsibilities, and committed to continuous improvement in administrative capability.

 

What You'll Do/ Ko tōu ake mahi

  • Support WorkSafe managers and kaimahi with core business activities e.g. operational and office support
  • Support finance related processes and system administration
  • Facilitate travel requests, including flights and accommodation
  • Coordinate and support teams with large events and projects
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and uplifting of capability for administrative support

 

What You'll Bring / Ko ngā pukenga ōu

  • Experience providing administrative or coordination support in a corporate environment.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Suite, and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to  organise effectively, be adaptable, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to share experience to uplift capability across the team.
  • The ability to develop, foster and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse range of people.

Salary range / Awhe utu

As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $64,890 to $84,996, and our expected starting base salary for the right person is from$64,890 to $71,516. Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional to/on top of your base salary.
