Grada Recruitment have partnered with a well-established surveying consultancy to recruit a Cadastral Surveyor based in Christchurch.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Intermediate Surveyor with cadastral experience to get stuck into a healthy mix of office and field work. You’ll be involved across a wide range of project types — from infill urban townhouses to rural subdivisions and even the odd river boundary challenge.

You’ll be using Trimble gear and 12D software to deliver end-to-end survey solutions. Whether you’re a strong technician, graduate surveyor, or someone stepping up to intermediate level, if you’ve got the right attitude and a few solid years in NZ cadastral surveying, this could be the right next move.

Duties
  • Conduct fieldwork across a mix of urban and rural sites
  • Prepare and process survey data using 12D and Trimble systems
  • Collaborate with planners, engineers, and internal teams
  • Produce accurate plans and documentation for council submissions
  • Work across subdivisions, boundaries, and land development projects
Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years’ experience with NZ cadastral survey standards
  • Proficient with 12D and Trimble gear
  • Qualification in surveying or related field
  • Comfortable balancing field and office work
  • Strong attention to detail and a hands-on attitude
  • Must have current NZ working rights
