The Capability Development Specialist position is a new role within our Security Vetting Unit and is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for their next challenge! The role will be responsible for the development and delivery of training and development pathways for roles within the Security Vetting unit. The role will also maintain subject matter expertise through monitoring and researching national and international trends and practices in Vetting tradecraft.

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in the development and delivery of training plans and resources as well as a genuine interest in learning, developing and sharing knowledge with others. You will also possess the following:

  • Proven experience in Learning & Development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An ability to lead, coach and train others
  • Experience in leading change through others, including continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of the PSR and Vetting is desirable but not essential
