Catering Assistant / Cook
Location: Hastings
Position Type: Short-term (with possibility of a fixed-term contract for the right candidate)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
Rate: $24.50 per hour + 8% casual contract loading
About the Role:
We are seeking a Catering Assistant / Cook to join our team in Hastings. This is a solo shift role where you will be responsible for preparing and reheating food for our cabinet, making basic hot and cold food, and serving customers with excellent customer service. Additionally, you will be expected to operate the till efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Reheat and prepare food for the display cabinet.
Cook and prepare simple hot and cold dishes.
Serve customers promptly and with a friendly attitude.
Operate the till and handle transactions.
Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.
Key Requirements:
Must be confident working independently during the shift.
Previous experience in catering or food preparation is preferred.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Good customer service skills and a positive attitude.
Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM.
Compensation:
$24.50 per hour, plus 8% casual contract loading.
