Change Manager - Fixed Term (6 Months - with a possibility for an extension)

Are you a visionary Change Manager with a passion for transforming businesses? We're seeking an energetic person to design and deliver on our change initiatives and drive the success of our Strategic Technology Enhancement Project (STEP) programme.

The Change Manager role will play a critical role in supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation across a large programme of work across NZQA. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Change Management
  • Contribute to the Detailed Business Case development and programme startup by integrating PROSCI methodologies to effectively manage change impacts on business operations and stakeholders.
  • Strategic Implementation
  • Design and implement change plans that align with our programme objectives and ensure clear, robust communication strategies.
  • Future Operating Model Development
  • Collaborate with Business Units to refine our Future Operating Model, ensuring alignment with NZQA strategic outcomes.
  • Training and Support
  • Conduct impact assessments, identify skill gaps, and develop tailored training programmes to prepare teams for new processes.
  • Monitor and Optimise
  • Facilitate the transition to new ways of working, optimizing project deliverables for seamless integration into business operations.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience in change management leadership with a strong understanding of stakeholder management and preparing the business for change.
  • Prior experience in developing key artefacts and contributing to business case development.
  • Excellent writing skills, with experience in benefits identification and measurement.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders and managing expectations effectively.
  • Expertise in aligning business processes with strategic goals, ensuring documentation is clear and accessible.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
