Mō te tūranga | About the role

Our Infrastructure Regulation branch is looking for a Chief Adviser to join the Electricity Distribution Team and report directly to the Electricity Distribution Manager. This is a senior role - equivalent to a Principal Advisor across most other public sector agencies.

From ensuring our critical infrastructure is resilient against natural disasters to supporting the transition to Net Zero - this role will see you leading workstreams and projects that tackle some of the biggest challenges facing Aotearoa New Zealand today.

You'll also play a leadership role in the team by supporting the development of our Assistant Analysts, Analysts, and Senior Analysts.

The Infrastructure Regulation branch is here for the long-term benefit of consumers. Our rules and regulations perform important functions like limiting excessive profits and ensuring businesses have the right incentives to deliver the essential services that consumers demand. Join us if you want to be a part of a friendly, collaborative, and high-performing team that is focussed on your development and will empower you to have a real impact on businesses and consumers across the country.
