Job Description
About the role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Class 2/4 Driver / Store person to join one of the market leaders in the distribution of steel and sheet metal throughout New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands.
Predominately doing delivery work around the Christchurch metro area, being the face of the company, interacting with customers, and ensuring goods are delivered on time and in good condition. When not delivering you will be assisting the warehouse team with inward and outward goods getting the next round of deliveries organised.
Duties:
- Delivery of goods to customers
- Adhering to all site safety requirements when completing deliveries
- Loading and unloading of trucks
- Picking orders for distribution to customers.
Skills and Experience:
- Current Class 2 Full Licence min, class 4 would be advantageous.
- Current F endorsement + OSH certificate
- Experience loading and unloading trucks.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit.
- Experience within the metal or steel industry would be advantageous but not essential.
