Service/ Department: Emergency Department

Contract: Permanent, 1 FTE (80 hours per fortnight)

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Nurse Manager to lead our Emergency Department nursing team. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a motivated nursing professional who is passionate about emergency care and committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered services. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective operational management of the department while supporting and developing our dedicated nursing workforce.

Our Emergency Department is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that provides acute and urgent care to patients across the Hawke's Bay region. We are a multidisciplinary team dedicated to excellence, working collaboratively to ensure timely and effective treatment for our community. Located in the heart of the Hawke’s Bay region, our hospital serves a diverse population, offering opportunities for professional growth and development in a supportive and progressive environment.

 

About you:

We are looking for a highly motivated nursing leader who possesses the following:

  • Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) in New Zealand.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role within an emergency or acute care setting.
  • Strong clinical expertise in emergency nursing with a commitment to best practice and continuous quality improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive service improvement initiatives.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
