About the Role
As the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) – Bureau, you will provide professional leadership and management to the Nursing Resource team, the casual nursing workforce, and the Transit Lounge. This role plays a vital part in managing hospital variance daily, ensuring safe staffing levels across all wards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing a large team of nursing staff, including recruitment, development, and management.
- Collaborating with ward CNMs and Nurse Leaders to ensure optimal workforce allocation.
- Utilising Microster (computerised rostering system) and TrendCare (nursing workload and acuity management program) to support efficient hospital operations.
About the Team/Service/ Location
You will be leading a dedicated and adaptable team of nurses who are essential in maintaining safe and effective patient care across the hospital. The Nursing Resource team and Transit Lounge staff rely on strong leadership, teamwork, and strategic workforce planning to ensure smooth daily operations. You will also work closely with ward CNMs and Nurse Leaders to achieve safe staffing outcomes.
About you
You are a Senior Registered Nurse with a passion for leadership and workforce management. You have the ability to recruit, develop, and inspire a diverse team of staff while ensuring high standards of patient care.
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate, with a postgraduate nursing qualification
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based clinical practice and a safe care environment.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
