About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join the oncology team has become available, and applications are invited from Clinical Nurse Specialists/ Registered Nurses to fill up to 2.2 FTE. The successful candidate would be required to work 8-hour shifts between Monday and Friday, 0800-1630.

About the Team/Service/ Location
The position will be located in the new purpose built Taranaki Cancer Centre. You will be working alongside a wider team of Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Technicians, Haematologists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Registered Nurse, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Administration teams. The new Taranaki Cancer Centre is a standalone state of the art specialist cancer facility that has been purpose built to accommodate Radiation Oncology, Chemotherapy and visiting Midcentral oncology/Haematology outpatient clinics.

About you
As a Clinical Nurse Specialists working in the Taranaki Cancer Centre, we are looking for someone with the following skills and attributes.
- Positions available in the areas of urology, head & neck, brain, skin and hepatology cancers.
- Ideally you will be currently working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist however fully training can be given to the correct candidate.
- Specialist nursing knowledge in oncology and haematology cancer nursing in a New Zealand hospital environment.
- Relevant experience in complex long-term condition nursing an advantage
- Minimal of 5 years’ experience in medical or surgical nursing essential.
- Post Graduate Diploma essential, ideally cancer nursing specific. Master’s preferable or working towards would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of health New Zealand faster cancer treatment targets
- Knowledge of, and commitment to the principles of the Te Tiriti O Waitangi
- Excellent interpersonal skills
