Are You Ready to Lead Advanced Nursing Care in Stem Cell Haematology?
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) – Stem Cell Haematology to join our dynamic team at Te Whatu Ora – MidCentral. This is unique opportunity to work at the forefront of cancer care, supporting patients undergoing Autologous Stem Cell Transplants within the Regional Cancer Treatment Service (RCTS).
About the Role
As a CNS – Stem Cell Haematology, you will:
- Provide advanced clinical care and leadership across the Autologous Stem Cell Transplant pathway.
- Liaise and coordinate care between New Zealand Blood Service and MidCentral District.
- Oversee and manage the Autologous Stem Cell Transplant database and reporting required by national Te Whatu Ora.
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings and regional cancer service planning.
- Prescribe within your scope as a Registered Nurse Prescriber.
This is a 0.7fTE role.

About You
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Registered Nurse with current APC (NZNC)
- Minimum 3-4 years' experience as a Registered Nurse
- Relevant master's qualification (or working towards in agreed timeframes)
- RN prescribing endorsement (or working towards in agreed timeframes)
- Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
Desirable:
- Minimum 3-4 years' experience in oncology or haematology nursing
- Senior Nurse PDRP portfolio
- Experience in nurse-led clinics and advanced care coordination
