  • Permanent, part time (0.8FTE), working 32 hours per week between Mondays-Fridays

About the Role

This role is an advanced nursing practice role with specific stroke/neurological knowledge responsible for providing expert clinical advice, information and education to patients, families/whanau and multi-disciplinary teams within Te Tai Tokerau.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist Stroke, you will develop and build relationships with health care workers and agencies within the wider community of Northland to promote early recognition, implement models of care that promotes continuity of care, to optimize the patient journey and improve clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

This role will be based in Whangarei Hospital, with travel throughout Northland required.

About the Team/Service/Location

Our teams of allied health professionals working from Whangarei, and Rural hospitals across Te Tai Tokerau will feel supported by having a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Stroke to support their work with clients that have undergone a stroke/neurological issue working towards rehabilitative goals

About you

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have evidence of competence to practice within the Registered Nurse scope of practice, with a current NZ practicing certificate.
