About the Role
This new permanent position is about coordinating Surgical Service patients to support safe, timely and efficient care delivery. You will need to be able to work collaboratively and foster excellent working relationships to coordinate care with the Surgical service in Midcentral. Ideally, you will have excellent nursing knowledge and expertise specific to Surgical. This position is in development phase and will include managing Surgical Surveillance patients in conjunction with MDT Teams for Surgery

About the Team/Service/ Location
You will join a team of hardworking Doctors, Nurses both CNS and RN’s and other MDT staff who provide high quality care to our Surgical patients.

About you
Ideally you are a fully qualified Surgical CNS, with experience in Surgical Services, however, should the right person come along, we would support the candidate to progress.
- Previous Surgical Nursing experience in the New Zealand medical hospital environment ideal, but minimum 5 years New Zealand hospital medical nursing essential.
- PG Diploma essential – ideally in Surgical Specialty specific – but not essential
- Master’s preferable or working towards
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
