About Us
Many young people in New Zealand experience difficulties with their mental health, at some point over the course of their childhood and teenage years. At Te Whatu Ora, Waitemata, the Marinoto West team offers mental health support to young people and their families across both rural and urban areas within West Auckland.
About You
If you're an experienced, self-motivated Clinical Psychologist with a sense of humour, strength of character and a commitment to making a positive difference to vulnerable young people, we'd like to hear from you.
Requirements for the role:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
- Registration with the NZ Psychology Board as a Registered Psychologist with a Clinical Scope of practice
- Current Practicing Certificate
- Proven experience working with children, youth and their families who have complex mental health issues
- Experience in using various media and tools to engage and sustain treatment with children, young people and their families
- Ability to work autonomously and within short timeframes

Under the APEX collective contract psychologists receive between $2500-4500 each per year for Continuing Professional Development which can be accumulated over two years. This offers the chance to attend overseas conferences or multiple workshops, plus books, and subscriptions each year
