Clinical Psychologist

Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (iCAMHS), Rotorua   

Permanent, full-time or part-time roles available

Monday to Friday

 

An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Clinical Psychologist and join our passionate Rotorua Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.  The role will be based in Rotorua in Te Aka Mauri/Children’s Health Hub.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Psychologists with an interest in and experience in working in a clinical setting, to join our multi-disciplinary teams

  • To facilitate the delivery of effective clinical services ensuring quality patient care and a safe patient journey across the care continuum.
  • To provide community mental health care based on current best practice and collaborative working within the interdisciplinary team.
  • Ensure all inter-disciplinary referrals within the team will be performed with consent from whaiora and their whānau (where applicable).
  • Work collaboratively with complementary internal and external partner organisations.

About you

  • Current registration, or be eligible for registration, with a NZ professional body
  • Current full clean NZ drivers licence
  • Meet requirements for the children’s worker safety checks
  • Ability to connect and build trusting relationships with a wide range of people from the community. It is preferred that the successful candidate has strong assessment and therapeutic intervention skills. 
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and with other clinicians in our skilled multi-disciplinary team.
  • Full registration with the New Zealand Psychologists Board
  • Masters Degree (Clinical Psychology) and Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) preferred
