About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a permanent full-time Clinical Unit Administration position within our Perioperative Department at Tauranga Hospital.  This is a permanent full-time position. This position covers the reception area within the Surgical Admission Unit and Pre-assessment Clinic.  We are looking for enthusiastic applicants with excellent administration and customer services skills. This is a busy and varied role where no two days will be the same.     

The successful applicant must have excellent customer service and communication skills and be a proven team player. Well-developed computer skills and outstanding time management skills are a key requirement. The role covers a rotating roster in which weekend shifts and after hours are included.

About you

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with excellent phone manner
  • The ability to prioritise and work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and high-quality workmanship
  • Well-developed computer skills – be able to learn software skills related to surgical services
  • A positive and flexible attitude and a sense of humour
  • Ideally you will have working knowledge of Webpas, MCP, Microsoft Office, Oracle and Omtrak
  • Be familiar with a hospital environment
