About The Role:
As a Debt Collector, you will be responsible for contacting individuals with outstanding debts and negotiating payment arrangements through professional communication and adherence to regulatory guidelines. This role is based on-site.
- Contact debtors via phone, email, and written correspondence to recover outstanding payments
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements within company guidelines
- Maintain accurate documentation of all communications and payment arrangements
- Research and verify debtor information using various databases and resources
- Meet or exceed monthly collection targets and performance metrics
Skills and Experience:
- Experienced in debt collections (1-2 years minimum)
- Knowledge of NZ debt collection laws and regulations is desirable
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance goals
- Intermediate computer skills
- Resilient attitude and ability to handle challenging conversations professionally
