Social Worker Mental Health Services for Older Adults (MHSOA), North

  • Fixed-term (ending in August 2024)
  • Full-time or part-time role
  • Based in Takapuna

We understand how important it is to know that what you do counts to feel a sense of achievement and satisfaction in your work. At Te Whatu Ora Waitematā, we’re committed to recognising the value our people bring to our organisation. We are looking for people that share our values by providing the best care for everyone, this is our promise to the community we serve, and we do this by seeking continuous improvement in everything we do.

MHSOA provides a comprehensive service to whaiora aged 65+ who are living with mental health difficulties and/or cognitive decline, often with complex needs. Our population is culturally diverse, our approach is collaborative, and we work in cohesive multidisciplinary teams with a strong client focus. We offer a supportive environment and provide opportunities for continued professional development.

We are now recruiting an enthusiastic Social Worker with good communication skills to join our North Shore community team in providing assessment, treatment and support to these whaiora and their family/whanau. This is a fixed term position to cover parental leave until 24/08/24 and we welcome applications from social workers with experience looking to work part time or full time.

Ideally, experience in mental health and/or with the older adult population is preferable. You will be required to hold registration with the New Zealand Social Workers Registration Board, have a current Annual Practicing Certificate, and hold a full, clean driver’s licence.
