Contract: Permanent, Part Time (0.9FTE / 36 hours per week)

About the Role
The Kapiti Community ORA Team is excited to advertise the opportunity for another Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary service. This role is a community based role, working within an interdisciplinary team that works collaboratively to support patients through equipment provision, housing modifications and rehab solutions to maximise their independence at home and their functional goals. We are looking for an Occupational Therapsit who is able to use their skills across the service - working in a rehabilitative way to improve patient wellbeing, inclusive of wheeled mobility provision. The role has scope for professional development in line with the goals of the service.
About the Team/Service/Location
The ORA community service works with people with acquired neurological, long term, or age-related conditions including stroke, dementia, frailty and post trauma conditions. Our team is multi-disciplinary including Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Speech Language Therapists, Dietitians, Liaison Nurse, Allied Health Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners. We have a Geriatrician attached to the team and enjoy supportive and collegial relationships.

About you
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who has a positive attitude and a broad range of skills to apply in a community setting. Occupational Therapists in our team assist individuals and families providing assessment and advice for equipment, wheeled mobility and housing modification to support people - s needs effectively. You will have a good understanding of Enable processes, sound clinical skills, and the confidence to work with people effectively. You will be aware of service priorities and constraints and use your excellent skills to confidently manage your caseload and maintain effective patient flow.
You will have a current registration/APC and a current New Zealand driver license.
