We have a fixed term opportunity until the 31st of January 2026.

 

Mō tēnei tūranga - about the role

This role provides high-quality administrative, coordination, and project support that enables the Community Readiness and Recovery (CRR) Directorate to deliver on its strategic and operational priorities. A key focus will be the implementation and ongoing maintenance of fit-for-purpose recording and management systems that support planning, accountability, and performance reporting.

You will contribute by:

  • Supporting the implementation of effective administrative systems and tools
  • Assisting with project coordination and performance reporting
  • Maintaining documentation, scheduling, and communication across key workstreams
  • Bringing a continuous improvement mindset, particularly in relation to systems and processes

You will also work closely with national and district CRR teams to manage system use, support reporting requirements, and ensure key CRR-managed resources—such as smoke alarms and fire safety programme materials—are effectively tracked, ordered, and made available nationally to frontline teams and the public.

To be successful in this role, you will be an organised, proactive team player with a strong customer-service ethic and a sharp eye for detail. You will also bring:

  • Extensive experience and proficiency in a Windows environment, especially with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint (experience with Miro is a plus)
  • A sound understanding of budgeting, project coordination, financial reporting, and invoice processing
  • Proven ability to set up and maintain effective systems and processes that meet diverse reporting and information needs
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills across diverse teams and stakeholders
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and supporting the successful delivery of national programmes

 

To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will:

  • Have sound knowledge of budgeting processes, project management, accounts receivable and payable, invoicing and financial reporting.
  • Ability to set up effective systems and processes that meet information and reporting requirements

 

The salary range for this role is $72,709-$80,788 (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
