    An opportunity has come up for a content developer to join our team. At the Regulatory and Identity Services branch, we're the face of Te Tari Taiwhenua (Department of Internal Affairs). Whether we're helping to register births, deaths, marriages or charities, or assisting with passport or citizenship applications, community grants or civil union and name change registrations, we're dedicated to serving the needs of all New Zealanders.

    Mō te tūnga | About the role

    In this role, you will:

    • be a content developer for Te Ara Manaaki, a multi-year work programme responsible for transforming our branch's service delivery system
    • work in a multi-disciplinary team, including process designers, business analysts, operational policy advisors and product owners
    • develop and deliver clear, accurate and easy-to-understand procedural and guidance content to help users adopt new systems and ways of working
    • provide support and feedback to your content and process design peers
    • maintain a suite of content development tools, including style sheets and templates.

    To succeed in this role, you will have:

    • experience conveying complex information and technical jargon in plain language
    • an understanding of accessibility, usability, and best practice content design principles
    • familiarity with digital tools and systems such as SharePoint, Dynamics 365, content management systems, and design/collaboration tools like Figma and Azure DevOps
    • the confidence to work closely with a range of stakeholders - from business analysts, testers and change managers to subject matter experts
    • resilience and adaptability in a dynamic setting where priorities can change quickly.
