Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga - Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) leads New Zealand's housing and urban development work programme. We're looking for a talented and motivated Advisor Contracts to join our team and help make a meaningful difference in the lives of New Zealanders.

We have three Advisor opportunities within our Contracts team!
As an Advisor Contracts, you will assist with the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of contracts with housing and housing-related service providers. You will support the monitoring of contractual obligations, maintain accurate records, and build effective relationships with providers and stakeholders to ensure services meet government expectations and deliver positive outcomes.
You will be responsible for exercising sound financial judgement and implementing robust financial practices to ensure optimal resource management and fiscal responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with contract implementation, monitoring, and management activities
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of contractual documents and reports
- Process payment drawdowns and invoices, working in partnership with Finance
- Maintain contract documentation, records, and information management systems
- Monitor contract delivery against requirements and report on progress
- Support contract review meetings and follow up on action items
The salary range for this role is $77,688 - $90,378 + 3% KiwiSaver contribution.

We're seeking candidates with: - Relevant experience in contract administration or management in a government, social service or commercial context
- Strong attention to detail with consistent accuracy in documentation and processes
- Good understanding of contract processes and documentation
- Strong administrative skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Confident in Microsoft Suite software and experience with contract management systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Problem-solving skills and initiative
Requirements: - Legal right to live and work in New Zealand
- Satisfactory criminal record check
