At Toitū Te Whenua, our onsite desktop support team plays a vital role in keeping our organisation and customers running smoothly. We're committed to delivering secure, reliable, and cost-effective technology solutions that support a wide range of functions across the business.

We're currently seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be part of a collaborative squad that uses Agile practices to deliver high-quality support and services. You'll work closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure our desktop environment is robust, user-friendly, and aligned with best practices.

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will provide hands-on support for desktop systems, hardware, and software across the organisation, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You'll troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimise disruption and maintain productivity. Your role will also involve assisting in the deployment and maintenance of devices, applications, and updates, while collaborating with other teams to enhance user experience and system performance. Additionally, you'll contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing, supporting continuous improvement across the team and Toitū Te Whenua.

  • Proven experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common enterprise tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team using Agile methodologies.
  • A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies.

 

The annual full-time salary range for this role is $68,000 to $78,000 depending on skills and experience
