  • Cardiology & Radiology Services, Whangarei Hospital
  • Permanent part-time position (0.9) working 36 hours per week
  • This is a new role that will benefit from a candidate who is patient focused and able to work with a multidisciplinary team across two services. 
  • The teams that work in the Cardiac Catheterisation Lab and Radiology all make a difference to the health of those living in Te Tai Tokerau.  This could be your opportunity to join us in continuing the excellent service we provide.

About the Role

As a Booking Clerk, you will provide effective and efficient management of the Booking System / Booking List and ensure a customer-focused service to the patients and their families. You will also be required to provide administrative support to the Service. This includes booking appointments for clinics according to the appointment protocol of the Outpatient Department, including the maintenance of pre-booked clinics for external medical staff. Book follow up appointments as required, cancel and reschedule clinics as required, and set up clinics as required whilst ensuring room and staff availability.

 

About the Team/Service/ Location

Bookings across the Cardiac Catheterisation Lab and Radiology service will be a new role.  However, there are already shared roles between the two services.  The teams work closely together and support each other to provide a comprehensive service for those living in Te Tai Tokerau, Northland.

About you

  • NCEA Level 2 or above
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft software, including Word and Excel and Outlook
  • Experience in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Administration experience
  • Whilst not essential, knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare experience, problem solving abilities and computer skills with Te Whatu Ora patient management system is advantageous.
