What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be hands-on across a wide range of diesel vehicles and equipment. Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Dismantling, repairing, and reassembling engines and components
- Replacing worn or defective parts
- Following service manuals and technical guides
- Performing scheduled servicing (oil changes, tune-ups, lubrication, etc.)
- Testing and adjusting parts for optimal performance
- Using diagnostic tools and computer systems
- Responding to breakdown callouts
- Inspecting vehicles and issuing (or advising on) roadworthiness
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years' experience working on diesel engines
- Trade qualification preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Own tools and reliable transport
- Class 1 licence preferred
- Strong commitment to health & safety
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Two recent work references
