Digital Collecting Specialist
- Help to build New Zealand's national collection of published documentary heritage

The National Library of New Zealand sits within the Te Haumi (Enterprise Partnerships) branch of the Department of Internal Affairs. Our branch is the Department's centre of information management, culture, and heritage. The National Library collects, stores, preserves and gives access to taonga that are precious to New Zealand.
This role develops automated processes to support the collection of born-digital published material under the Library's legal deposit mandate.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience with coding language - Python strongly preferred
- Has experience collecting web content to facilitate collecting and archiving
- Is interested in collecting and archiving born-digital material and in the opportunities and challenges digital content bring
- Enjoys helping others to grow their capability and confidence in handling digital material
Qualifications:
A tertiary qualification in information technology, or demonstrated equivalent experience, is required
