Job Description
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
- Do you have Microsoft Power Platform / Dynamics 365 development experience?
- Do you enjoy working with people to solve complex business problems using technology?
- Join an exciting and motivated team delivering innovative solutions.
- Permanent opportunity at $112,375 + 5 weeks' annual leave + other benefits
Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role
We are looking for a Digital Workspace Engineer based in Auckland or Wellington or Christchurch, to help build and maintain digital solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform, as well as Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365, enabling Kāinga Ora's teams to work securely, efficiently and effectively across Aotearoa.
You'll work with internal customers across the organisation to understand business problems, design digital and process solutions, and then build and deploy these, ensuring that they work and deliver value for the end users.
This role is part of a well-established agile DevOps team, and existing practices such as pair programming will ensure that you have strong support to achieve success and upskill yourself.
Ngā mahi | What you'll do
As a Digital Workspace Engineer, you will:
- Deliver in-house Power Platform digital solutions, working as part of a team end-to-end across design, build, testing, documentation and deployment.
- Work directly with internal stakeholders to build strong relationships, understand problems, and ensure solutions are working, delivering value and opportunities for improvement are identified.
- Contribute to supporting and monitoring existing solutions.
- Build and maintain technical expertise in the technologies you work with.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you'll bring
We are primarily interested in hearing from candidates who have experience in solving business problems and digitising processes using Power Platform and Dynamics 365. You'll bring:
- Excellent communication skills, able to effectively communicate technical information with a range of audiences, from senior leaders to technical colleagues.
- Experience presenting and demonstrating digital solutions.
- Strong unstructured problem-solving ability - being able to ideate multiple possible solutions to complex and partially-defined business problems and articulate the most suitable.
- A focus on business outcomes, not the technology itself. We're wanting someone who's obsessed about the real value delivered by the digital solutions they build - and understands that the nuts and bolts of the technology itself aren't the end goal.
Additionally, having some of the following technical skills would be very helpful:
- Experience developing and/or supporting Power Platform and Dynamics 365
- Experience building and working with Model Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Power Automate flows, Power Pages portals and Power BI reports.
- Experience supporting and working with SharePoint Online.
- Experience supporting the Microsoft 365 product suite, as well as Entra ID and Azure B2C.
- Ability to write and understand complex SQL queries.
- Ability to write and understand JavaScript.
Nōu te rourou - What's in it for you?
We offer competitive salaries, five weeks' annual leave and a benefits package including a range of insurances, flexible working arrangements and career development. These benefits are described in more detail here https://careers.kaingaora.govt.nz/a-great-place-to-work/benefits.
As a Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities employee, we want to make sure that you have all the tools and support you need. We want to ensure you are healthy and have work-life balance.
