  • Permanent role based in Auckland or Wellington

 

Mō te tūnga | About the role

 The Commercial Partnerships team is responsible for bringing specialised commercial and financial expertise to help EECA shape energy related initiatives at the regional and market level.

The Director, Commercial will lead the Commercial Partnerships team and ensure strong value from EECA's investments. This is a pivotal role in driving EECA's goals.

 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Financial oversight and deal structuring to design projects, and assessing financial viability
  • Working with the finance markets to unlock private sector investment to complement EECA initiatives
  • Lead deal orientation through to execution, including structuring, negotiation, and closing
  • Ensure strategic leadership and innovation is demonstrated within EECA

 

This role will also be part of a tight knit Leadership Team and will work collaboratively with other Leadership Team members to achieve EECA's strategy, and role model EECA's four key behaviours.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Extensive private sector experience at a senior level
  • Strong commercial acumen and a natural ability to forge partnerships
  • Commercial and financial acumen
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to connect across and beyond EECA
  • Understanding of the energy sector
