About the role
This role will provide professional administration support to enable the Directorate Leadership Team (General Manager, Medical Director, Director of Allied Health, Scientific and Technical and Director of Nursing for Southland and Lakes District Hospitals) to manage their time effectively.
The Directorate Coordinator will coordinate a variety of quality and reporting activities to ensure the smooth running of Southland and Lakes District, including activities relating to managing all adverse events, patient feedback, complaints, Health and Disability investigations, OIA requests and all activities and communications that require drafting and sign out.
This role will be responsible for the development and maintenance of procedures and effective systems for office administration, including providing senior administrative professional support to the wider Southland and Lakes District Hospitals.

About you
You will have previous experience in a high-pressure senior management administration position preferably within the health sector.
To be successful in this role you will have the following:

- Strong analytical and numeracy skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Suite knowledge
- Excellent organising skills and project management coordination experience
- The ability to manage the interface with the community and the media
- Maintain an exceptionally high level of confidentiality
