Our client is New Zealand’s leader in logistics, known for their quality and customer service.
They are currently looking for an experienced Dispatch Coordinator to join their busy Christchurch-based team. This is a long-term temp-to-perm opportunity, working alongside a supportive Office team in a fast-paced, office-based role.

Temp to Perm Opportunity
Our client is New Zealand’s leader in logistics, known for their quality and customer service.
They are currently looking for an experienced Dispatch Coordinator to join their busy Christchurch-based team. This is a long-term temp-to-perm opportunity, working alongside a supportive Office team in a fast-paced, office-based role.
Hours of Work:
- Monday – Friday | Over 40 hours per week
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Coordinate and schedule shipments, deliveries, and pickups
- Assign delivery routes and support drivers to ensure timely arrivals
- Provide shipping updates and ETAs to customers
- Handle and resolve transportation issues or delays
- Maintain up-to-date records of deliveries, shipments, and drivers
- Liaise closely with factory staff to align production and delivery timelines
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to confirm logistics
- Negotiate delivery timeframes and freight rates
- Support compliance with safety protocols and delivery standards
what You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience in a similar dispatch or logistics role
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong communication skills and confidence on the phone
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Good geographical knowledge of the Canterbury region
- Excellent attention to detail and multitasking ability
