(DN) Quantity Surveyor

Our client is locally owned and specializes in excavation services, including demolition, site preparation, trenching and skip hire.  
 
At present, we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who pays attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and is proficient in cost estimation and management. 
 
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:

• Develop & Manage Specific Procurement Strategies  
• Prepare Sub-Contractor & Supplier’s Agreements  
• Review Tender Bid Evaluations (Incl. Rates, Quantum & Tags / Exclusions In Accordance With Company Commercial Requirements)  
• Ethical Negotiation With Supply Chain  
• Delivering Procurement Cost Savings  
• Planning, Organising, And Working To Timelines  
• Visit Construction Sites To Monitor Progress
• Study Building plans

The successful candidate must have a Full driver’s license with Civil Passport and & Trade Qualification and/or a relevant tertiary qualification. Prior experience in tendering & issuing work packages of between 1-20 million dollars is an advantage. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and police check if required. Open to all NZ Citizens / Residents and with valid working visas.
