Job Description

Manage a warm portfolio of personal insurance clients across home, car, contents, and boat in this full-time broking role based onsite in Takapuna.

Looking to take the next step in your broking career?
This is your chance to manage a warm portfolio of domestic clients — think house, car, contents, and boat insurance — with a supportive team behind you.
We're working with a long-standing insurance brokerage on the North Shore to find their next Domestic Advisor. This is a permanent, full-time role, based onsite in Takapuna.

You'll be stepping into an existing book of loyal clients — individuals and families who value trusted, reliable advice. If you're passionate about helping people protect what matters most, and you enjoy working independently but with a team around you, this could be your next move.

About the role: As a Domestic Broker, you’ll be responsible for managing your own client base end-to-end — from renewals to retention and everything in between.
Your day-to-day will include:

  • Providing personalised insurance advice across personal lines – home, contents, motor, boat
  • Managing policy renewals, queries, and changes directly with clients and underwriters
  • Keeping clients informed of cover options and recommending adjustments where needed
  • Occasionally getting out to see local clients (travel covered)
You’ll be a great fit if you:
  • Hold your Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services (essential)
  • Have previous experience in domestic/personal lines insurance
  • Are confident working independently and managing your own workflow
  • Enjoy building rapport and delivering outstanding service
  • Are happy to be based onsite full-time (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
  • Have a clean credit and police history
What’s in it for you:
  • Take over a warm, well-looked-after domestic portfolio
  • Focus purely on personal lines – no commercial
  • Join a supportive, knowledgeable team with great local reputation
  • Career progression available for the right person
  • Work with clients who genuinely appreciate what you do
