Duty Manager

About the Role:

As Duty Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the cinema and café. From managing staff and maintaining compliance with liquor and health regulations, to creating great coffee and ensuring smooth service flow, this is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise front-of-house staff and cleaners during your shift
• Maintain compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012
• Deliver high-quality, consistent coffee and customer service
• Ensure service areas are clean, tidy, and well-presented
• Manage inventory checks, deliveries, and stock control
• Display movie posters, censorship info, and other promotional material
• Train and support staff to maintain service standards
• Uphold health and safety compliance to ensure a safe environment for all
• Perform general duties as directed by the Owner or General Manager

About You

• Must hold a current Managers Certificate
• Can commit to a Tuesday to Saturday roster with mostly 3pm - late shifts
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Barista experience preferred
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and multitask effectively
