About the Role
As an Executive Assistant, you will provide high quality, timely support within the National Clinical Office and Clinical Senate and be trusted to deal with matters of a highly confidential and sensitive nature. In this role you will provide one-to-one executive support to the Chair, NZ Clinical Senate (the Senate), Commissioner's Clinical Advisory Committee (CCAC) and the National Chief Nurse. You will manage and contribute to the improvement and development of business administrative processes, procedures and systems across Health New Zealand
About the Team/Service/ Location
You will support both the Chair of the New Zealand Clinical Senate and the National Chief Nurse. The New Zealand Clinical Senate is a newly formed clinical group that will provide independent advice to Health New Zealand. The National Chief Nurse reports to the Chief Clinical Officer and is a Tier 3 leadership role within Health New Zealand.
About you
As an experienced Executive Assistant, you will enjoy solving complex problems, are motivated by top-notch performance, and are someone that excels in a behind-the-scenes supporting role. To be successful you must be able to work at a fast-pace, juggle changing priorities, work cross-culturally and be someone that naturally enjoys an environment and role that is constantly changing.
- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification or equivalent experience.
- Significant previous experience in an Executive Assistant role providing support to a senior executive and their team
- Experience in being able to identify what is important versus what is urgent and as a result gain the confidence as a trusted part of the team.
- Previous experience in applying critical thinking and using sound judgement to develop options and provide advice
- Excellent organisational skills along with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities, and meet deadlines whilst preserving the highest levels of accuracy and confidentiality
