Job Description

Step into a key export role with a dynamic team. Own your work, grow your skills, and make a real impact in sea freight operations.

High Volume – Key Account Focus

If you're an experienced freight operator who enjoys structure, pace, and being trusted to own your role, this could be a great fit. You'll join a high-performing team supporting a major customer, managing export operations across multiple regions. This isn’t a role where you’re hidden away from the action. You’ll be embedded in the workflow, close to the client, and playing a vital part in service delivery.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Export freight forwarding experience preferred, but strong candidates with import operations or customer service backgrounds who can adapt quickly are welcome.
  • Confident managing bookings end to end, including space allocation, documentation, and coordination across multiple regions.
  • Experience in a 4PL or embedded key account role with high communication demands is highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in CargoWise preferred, especially for bookings, documentation, and account visibility.
Behaviours Most Critical for Success
  • Proactive Communicator: Engages early, flags risks before they escalate, and keeps customers and internal teams informed — no surprises.
  • Calm and Adaptable: Maintains composure and control in a fast-moving, high-volume environment without transferring stress to others.
  • Resilient and Self-Sufficient: Takes ownership of workload, meets deadlines without being chased, and escalates issues when necessary.
  • Team-Oriented and Account-Focused: Collaborates openly across the wider delivery model, shares information freely, and avoids blame.
Candidate Motivations and Role Benefits
  • Ideal for operators who value stability, clear structure, and being part of a high-performing team. Whether you’re mastering your role or aiming to progress, there’s room to grow with consistency and openness about goals.
  • Offers strong job security in a supportive, well-resourced environment, backed by consistent leadership and a collaborative team dynamic.
  • Benefits include one work from home day per week, birthday leave after six months, extended parental leave, flexible work hours, and potential air freight exposure as the role evolves.

We believe diversity is vital to a healthy, high-performing workplace. That’s why we’re committed to delivering a psychologically safe recruitment experience. One that uncovers and celebrates your strengths. If traditional hiring processes don’t bring out your best let us know. We want you to shine, not shy away.
